What I Have Learned

1. Summarize your learning about the importance of proper nutrition and balanced diet .
I think that healthy diet provides your body with the nutrition it requires to function
properly. Your body is more susceptible to sickness, infection, weariness, and low performance
if you do not eat a well-balanced diet. Consumes healthful foods may experience growth and
body developments. So that in achieving healthy lifestyle the three basic food groups is
important as a guide of our everyday meal . Go Foods are foods that provide energy and enable
us to ‘go’ and be active. Bread, rice, pasta, cereals, and potatoes are examples of ‘Go’ foods.
These nutrients provide fuel for our muscles to run, swim, jump, and cycle, as well as fuel for our
brains to concentrate. We may feel exhausted and not have enough energy to go through the
day if we do not consume enough go foods. Grow Foods assist our bodies in becoming bigger
and stronger. Grow foods aid in the development of our bones, teeth, and muscles.Chicken,
meat, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, and yoghurt are examples of ‘grow foods. All of these items keep
us full and prevent us from being hungry and Grow meals also maintain our minds sharp and
concentrated. Our bodies won't have the appropriate building blocks to make us taller and
stronger if we do not eat enough Grow foods or even more powerful .Glow Foods are high in
vitamins and minerals, which help to keep our skin, hair, and eyes looking healthy and youthful.
Our immune system can be strengthened by glow meals, allowing us to battle disease and
viruses. All fruits and vegetables are examples of Glow foods. Brightly colored fruits and
vegetables are high in vitamins and minerals, and we should consume a variety of them each
day. So in each three basic food group I sight some examples of food that may eat so that it
easy to distinguish in to know what kind of food should we eat to satisfied our Pinggang Pinoy
the food guide .

What I Can Do

1. As a student, what can you do to keep yourself healthy? How are you going to

introduce Pinggang Pinoy to your family .

As a student keeping myself healthy is maintaining my food as always, I choose only the
healthy food by balancing the three basic food group and I also avoided unhealthy foods like
softdrinks , junk food and high sugar level pastry . I think as my task in our home is cooking it makes me
easy to introduce the Pinggang Pinoy to my family because my mother is a vendor of fruits , vegetables
and some meat or fish so that my mother is so busy in our mini store so my task is to cook everyday .
Usually I serve veggies at the morning with matching protein like fry fish or eggs , and also if we have
available fruit at lunch is meat of beef , pork or Chicken it depends in our daily schedule of meal . At
night I prefer fish or vegetables only so that at night it’s easy to digest the food . I always ensure that I
serve the food clean and healthy I always say to my family that drink water than soft drinks or juices that
includes highly flavorings .
