Approach:

The main motto of our organization is to Enhance Life with the basic 5 strategic pillars set by our
Stake Holders (Governance & Structure, Innovation & Optimization, Customer-Centric Growth &
Portfolio Management and People & Culture). The overall transformation of the division is in
consideration of these 5 strategic pillars.

Category Management:
Though with a wide range of market, vast technology, and numerous aspects flourished in the market,
finding the right product / Service which complies to the actual requirement can be overwhelming.
However, keeping this into consideration, we have centralized our procurement for benefitting the
organization irrespective of the industry in various aspects.

Keeping this as a vision, we have successfully reorganised the procurement structure with a vision of
implementing Category Management with a mindset where each individual can be Elite Procurement
Partner, who innovatively delivers quality in Cost-effective manner by adding value through Strategic
thinking in most efficient techniques specialised in respective category delivering excellent and
diversified value driven results.

Spend Analysis: Upon restructuring the procurement in multiple categories and our analysis towards
the requirement, we have initiated the process of spend analysis which involves in pulling the
purchase history data to answer and assess the who, what, when, where, why, and how of an
organization’s expenditures (Spend Cube, Kraljic Matrix, Data Driven Sourcing, Benchmark
Performance, Streamline Operations, Identify savings opportunities, Efficiency, Governance &
Structure)
Long Term Agreement:
Upon subcategorizing the spent in terms of Value and Count, it was observed that Major number
(76.5%) of Orders released were less than AED. 10,000.00 however, the Spent for this sector was not
more than 6%. With this, we further came up with an idea of implementing long term purchase
agreements (LTPA) to automate the procurement process of regular and repeated requirements across
business units which facilitates to place orders in no time, which enables Procurement Partners to be
most efficient and proactive in respective categories.
Group Think:
Being diversified in numerous and various sectors, we came with a vision of “Group Think” which
drives each business unit and provide an opportunity to serve and relish services, utilizing the
available resources within the group resulting in enhancing revenue and minimalizing risks and
shortfalls.

Considering a vision of Group think, strategic initiation is in process for standardizing transport sector
used across various business units each day towards Enhancing life.
