Topic 3: What are the enduring projects for philosophy of education?

REFLECTION

In line with the discussion video of the topic, I came up with these ideas. The majority of
idealists accept that the material world is marked by change, instability, and uncertainty. Because
time is too valuable to be wasted, it is always ideal to begin education while a child is already
capable of learning. I've recognized that man's fear of the unknown is based on his ignorance of
it; yet, if he steps outside of his comfort zone and embarks on a journey to comprehend what
appears to be unknown to him, it will be revealed, and he will later discover that there is nothing
to fear. Idealists such as Kant and Plato emphasized the importance of the teacher's role in
education and the student's learning development. It is clear from the beginning of our education,
whether in the Philippines or elsewhere in the globe, that teachers must exhibit qualities in
addition to being prepared to teach. They must also be role models. To strengthen the
educational system and character development, teachers today employ holistic educational
methodologies, learning intervention strategies, and evaluations. Realism, on the other hand,
corresponds to my own perceptions of reality. I believe that topic knowledge educates children
about the world they live in. I also feel that learning abilities like reading and writing has an
impact on each child's understanding of the world around them. Even with my understanding of
God and cultural norms, realism makes more sense to me. Subject matter should, in my opinion,
be based on humanistic and scientific fields in today's society. In today's world, there are so
many diverse ideas and cultures in public schools.
