Around the Moon, is the sequel to Jules Verne's 1865 novel, From the Earth to the Moon.

It is a science fiction story that continues the journey to the Moon that just began in the first
novel.

Jules Verne narrates the adventures of the passengers installed inside a jaint bullet that takes
them to the Moon. While "From the Earth to the Moon" is dedicated to explaining in detail how
some (antrepenours) entrepreneurs plan and execute all the preparations for a trip to the Moon in
a cannonball, in "Around the Moon" he describes the course of that trip.

The trip takes place during a full moon and, although the crew's idea was to land on the satlait,
they soon realize that they are trapped in orbit around it. They speculate about the possibility of
selenait life, and after verifying that there is no sign of life on the side of the Moon that always
faces the Earth, extensively explored by the telescopes of the time, they enter the other side.
Since all of this takes place during a full moon, the far side is completely dark. However, a fireball
explodes that makes it possible, just for a few moments, to see the lunar surface up close, and the
characters realize that, in the past, the Moon had continents, cities and selenite life that would
later be destroyed.

After going around the Moon they decide to use the rockets they had on the back of the bullet to
neutralize the ainersha of the projectile and fall on the satlait. Their project doesn't work and they
fall to Erth. The sea cushions the impact and they are rescued by the US Neivy.

I recommend reading this book because it is small and easy to understand, it also has funny
episodes.
