SYMPTOMS

Every time our users enter a Work Order (P48013) via the web client, the same Media Object text attachment comes
predefined with text. Every work order has the same attachment. I believe this attachment already existed on another work
order, but it seems to have somehow become the default attachment for all work orders. This only happens on the Web
(HTML) client. Why does this occur and how do we remove this default attachment?

CAUSE

The reason that an attachment was displaying for every new work order was that an invalid record existed in the F00165
Media Object Table for the data structure used by the Work Order application. This record was defined with a blank work
order number and therefore was picked up for each new work order added in the system.

In one scenario an F00165 records existed for OBNM=GT4801A and TXKY=<Blank>. In another scenario, a record existed in
the F00165 for OBNM=GT4801 with TXKY = '|WO||A' The system was picking up this attachment every time a new work order
was entered.

SOLUTION

The media object attachments are not designed to automatically attach a default object as part of the normal interface. If this
is occurring, most likely it is due to a corrupt record in the F00165 Media Object table. Removing the record with the blank
TXKY value or blank work order number using SQL should resolve the issue.

NOTE: There should never be a record in the F00165 media object table for any data structure with a blank TXKY
value. There should also never be a record for the GT4801 data structure with a blank work order number.
