Monitoring S/W

 LAN cable (STP) has to be connected to system BMS of battery system as well as PC.
 Fixed IP should be allocated in system BMS.
 PC and system BMS have to use the same network.
 Since S/W access system BMS via 502, 602 port, please check if there are any restrictions.

1.2. Installation Steps
1) Please click “StartInstaller.exe” to start installation.
(Execute under an user account as an administrator type.)

2) Choose your language and click “Next” button.

3) Please click “Start” button to start installation.

4) Installation results are displayed while installing the system.

5) Please click “Finish” button to complete installation.

6) If Internet Explorer version is below IE11, Please install IE11 in the directory below.
(SimpleVersion/Installer/Packages/IExplorer)
If you need a different language, please download it from Microsoft download center.

7) Please run Internet Explorer and enter the URL http://127.0.0.1


(Default ID & Password for installation are installer / installer)

8) Please click “SYSTEM CONFIG” menu to move.

9) Enter “Name”, “CELL”, “RACK”, “SYSBMS IP”, “SYSBMS PORT”, “Protocol” and “Neutral”
information correctly and click “Save” button to create battery. If you entered all battery

information then click “Batter Save” button to save information permanently. If the
system saved it successfully, you may see a success message.

to login as an administrator.

2. Starting

2.1. Log-in

2.1.1. Overview
If you click the icon on the desktop, web browser is immediately activated and the log-in page is
displayed to perform the battery monitoring system. (You can enter 127.0.0.1 in the address bar
after starting Internet Explorer.)

1) Enter a user ID.
2) Enter a Password.
3) Click LOGIN.

3. Monitoring

3.1. Set
When you successfully log into the battery monitoring system, the home page is displayed. The
page displays information about System BMS(SBMS) that is being monitored. If you click BATTERY
tap that displays the battery information, information about the battery appears on the screen.

3.1.1. Overview
The battery monitoring system is available to monitor from #1 battery to #6 battery, you can
specify and register the battery to monitor while installing the program. For example, the page
can be displayed as below if total 6 batteries are registered on the system.

3.1.2. Screen Descriptions


1) Home: You can move to SET page.
2) Logout: You can logout.
3) Program Information: You can check the details of license.
4) Table of Battery State: You can check the battery state, voltage, current, and SOC of the
system that is being monitored.
5) Rolling control button for battery state: you can rotate the table of battery state
(move upward/downward, rotation starts/stops)
6) Display the total amounts accumulated by Protection and Alarm state
7) System Alarm message window: The three messages are displayed as below.

A. Normal state: The message displays normal operation of the battery.

B. Battery alarm message: The message displays abnormal state of the battery, and the
latest alarm state(Protection or Alarm) can be checked.

8) Monitoring: You can move to the stage for set, battery, rack, and module.
9) History Tracking: You can track the battery event history.
10) Setting: You can set user management, your language.
11) Set main screen: You can monitor the whole battery state.
A. You can check the battery information about state(charge, discharge, standby,
protection, alarm), voltage, current, SOC, max temperature, min temperature, etc.
B. When the battery event(protection, alarm) occurs, the color of alarm frame is
changed to orange or red, so you can check whether the battery state is normal or
abnormal.
C. If you click the tap for the battery information, the battery monitoring screen is
displayed.

3.2. Battery
This is a screen that enables you to monitor a unit of battery. You can monitor information for
1(#1 Battery) that you selected, and it provides information about Rack BMS(RBMS). If you click
the tap for the Rack, you can move to the screen for Rack.

3.2.1. Overview
The figure below is divided into total 2 racks based on BATTERY #1. The key page of the battery
is comprised of battery key information(2), details information(3), rack information(4), and chart(6).

1) If you enter into the first page, information about the battery that you selected appears
on the screen. And you can select the battery that you want to monitor.
2) Key information of the battery: You can check the battery information about the
state(charge, discharge, standby, protection, alarm), voltage, current, SOC, SOH, etc.
3) Details of the battery: You can check mix/min cell voltage and max/min cell temperature
of the whole battery that you selected.
4) Tap for Rack information: You can monitor the state of the whole rack that is comprised
of a unit of the selected battery
A. Lamp for Switch gear state: You can check ON(green)/OFF(red) state of the electric
apparatus inside the switch gear.
 M: MCCB(Mold-Case Circuit Breaker)
 C: Charge-Off Switch
 D: Discharge-Off Switch
 F: Fuse
 Construction of lamp can be different by models
B. You can check information about the rack state(charge, discharge, standby,
protection, alarm), voltage, current, SOC, mix/min temperature
C. You can check whether the rack is defective or not and the state of rack depending
on different colors
 Charge(Blue), Discharge(Yellow), Standby(Grey), Protection(Red), Alarm(Orange)
D. If you click a tap that displays rack information, you can move to the monitoring
screen of the rack.
5) Desktop shortcuts: You can move to the top/bottom of the monitoring screen.
6) You can check the key information of the battery such as voltage, current, SOC through
real-time chart(for max 1 hrs). If you move your mouse cursor on the chart, numerical
value of the point appears.

3.3. Rack
This is a screen that you can monitor a unit of the rack. You can monitor information about the
Rack BMS that you selected and move to the module screen by clicking the shortcut for module
on the desktop.

3.3.1. Overview
The key page of the rack is divided into key information of the rack depending on the battery
and the chart that displays details of the rack.

1) If you enter into the first page, information about the rack that you selected appears on
the screen. And you can select the rack that you want to monitor depending on the
battery
2) Key information of the rack: You can check the rack information about the state(charge,

discharge, standby, protection, alarm), voltage, current, SOC, SOH, etc.
3) Details of the rack: You can check mix/min cell voltage and max/min cell temperature of
the whole rack that you selected.
A. M4/C2: #4 Module/#2 Cell
4) Desktop shortcuts: You can move to the top/bottom of the monitoring screen.
5) Tap for Module information: You can monitor the state of the whole modules in the
selected rack
6) You can check the key information of the rack such as voltage, current, SOC through real-
time chart(for max 1 hrs). If you move your mouse cursor on the chart, numerical value of
the point appears.

3.4. Module
This is a screen that you can monitor a unit of the module. You can monitor information about
the Module and the cell information in the category.

1) You can select module by the battery and rack that you want to monitor. If you click
“shortcuts” button, information about Module #1 of the selected rack is displayed on the
rack screen. If you enter into the menu, “BATTERY #1,” “RACK #1,” “MODULE #1” is
automatically selected.
2) You can check the voltage and temperature of each cell in the module.

4. History

4.1. Data
You can detect the trend of the battery data through history tracking and diagnose whether
the battery is detective or not through data analysis. You can check the previous data of the
battery, rack voltage, current, the remaining amounts and insert the key/detailed information
for 1-day into an Excel file.

4.1.1. Overview

4.1.2. Descriptions of Screen


1) Battery history: You can track the history of the battery with the period and
location(Battery #n > Rack #n) and check the data(up to 2 weeks).
2) Tracking result: You can check the voltage, current, the remaining amounts on the chart
depending on the condition. Up to 3,600 data can be displayed on the chart, and up to 1
hour is available to track the data per 1 second. If the period to track exceeds 1 hour,
data may not be displayed after sampling the data for 2 seconds. (data sampling time: 1
second)
3) If you click the button to download excel, you can save the file of data for key/detailed
information about battery, rack that you selected on “Starting point” of “Period”

4.2. Event
You can track the event(protection, alarm) from the beginning that you installed the program to
the present day according to time sequence.

1) Event history: You can track the event by selecting the condition.
A. Period
B. Location: BATTERY #n > RACK #n
C. Types: Protection, Alarm, Release Protection, Release Alarm
D. Measures: unchecked, normal, replacement, false positive
2) You can check the result depending on the tracking condition. If you click the event, you
can move to the page that displays event details to check.
3) If you click the button to download Excel, a file of the tracking result is created.

4.3. Checking Event
If you click the event of the items after tracking the event history, the page below is displayed.
You can save the data after check marking the event and measures.

4.3.1. Overview

4.3.2. Descriptions of Screen


1) You can check the details of the event types, contents, and occurrence location.
2) Location: You can move to the page for battery or rack that occurs event after clicking
the link “Battery #1 > Rack #1” on the screen.
3) Measures: You can categorize into 4 items and save the contents.
A. Unchecked: Blank
B. Normal: Normal state after checking
C. Device Change: Replace the apparatus when alarm occurs
D. False positive: Classified into faulty alarm
4) Checked: You can note contents and checker
5) You can move to the items, cancel or save the contents.

4.4. Event Alarm
The page appears a pop-up to show the event(protection, alarm). If any event occurs, it outputs
BEEP or cancels the event. The event alarm does not disappear until you input the contents. The
pop-up can disappear only after clicking “HIDE” button, but it will appear after a certain time.
In case multiple events occur at the same time, event alarms will be accumulated and displayed.

4.4.2. Descriptions of Screen


1) You can check the details of the occurred event types, contents, and location.
A. You can move to the page for apparatus that occurs event through the link of the
location items.
2) You can fill out the checked contents and measures to disappear event alarms.
A. Submit: You can save how to process the event.
B. Event History: You can check the event history items.
C. HIDE: You can hide the event alarms for 3 min.

5. Settings

5.1. User
In order to manage the user account, you can register, modify, and delete user information. In
the battery monitoring system, all users can be in charge of manager regardless of manager and
user.

5.1.1. Descriptions of Screen


1) You can check all information about the users already registered based on their ID, name,
and authority.
2) You can see the checked results according to #1 item.
3) You can register or modify the details of the user after you click “Select” in #2 item or
“Add” in #4 item.
4) You can save the changed items of the #3 item after clicking “Save” and delete the user
account with “Delete”. For new registration, you must select “Add” and write the #3 item
and then click “Save”.

5.2. System Config


In this page, you can add / remove / modify battery information. Please click “Battery Save”
button to save battery information and you should re-login to apply new information.

5.2.1. Descriptions of Screen


1) Add battery information; please refer to chapter 1.3 which has detailed description.
2) Battery information: name, cell, rack, SYSBMS IP, SYSBMS port, protocol and neutral
option
3) Delete battery information.
4) Reset selected System BMS.
5) Stop NETA service. Please note that when NETA service is stopped, data is not gathered
from the battery.
6) Start NETA service.
7) Reset all stored data. Please note that when data is reset, data may not be recoverable.
8) Reset all stored data and battery information. Please note that when data is reset, data
may not be recoverable.
9) Save battery information.

5.3. Chart Config


In this page, you can set the range of charts for Battery, Rack and Battery History menus.

2) Select the item you want to change value.
3) When you click “Save” button, entered value will be applied to the chart.

5.4. System Status


In this page, you can monitor service processes, database connection and NETA communication
status.

1) You’re able to monitor service processes. (tomcat7.exe, mysqld.exe)
2) You’re able to check database connection. (SYSBMS_CD like ‘S010101’ means O.K)
3) You’re able to monitor NETA communication. (“result” attribute of “web_command” node
returns current status )
