Introduction
Intellectual property (IP) relates to creations of the mind: inventions, literary and artistic works,
as well as symbols, names and images used in commerce.
The law protects through patents, copyrights and trademarks, which allow recognition or profit
for inventions or creations. By balancing the interest of innovators and the public interest, the IP
system seeks to foster an environment conducive to creativity and innovation.
The second activity about step 2: the intellectual property, we have to recognize all topics, to solve
the core problem of promoting innovation of products, processes, and productive and logistic
systems in this unit the students recognize intellectual property protection as a key tool to develop
technologic innovation inside companies.
Objectives
OBJECTIVE GENERAL
Recognize intellectual property protection as a key tool to develop technologic innovation inside
companies.
OBJETIVE SPECIFIC
• This step attempts to solve the core problem of promoting innovation of products,
processes and productive and logistic systems.
• Identify causes and consequences of cost – benefit balance.

We conclude that with this activity it was possible to identify the importance of intellectual
property and the different types of property that exist, to be able to obtain knowledge and provide
information to companies and people in the future so that they can protect their ideas or susceptible
works. If they are copied or in the case of secret recipes, they can be disclosed, in addition this
allows companies to receive income for being unique, and for having that originality when offering
a final product.
