Aguinaldo Shrine is a national shrine located in Kawit, Cavite in the

Philippines, where the Philippine Declaration of Independence from Spain was declared on June
12, 1898. This is to commemorate the event, now known as Araw ng Kalayaan or Independence
Day, a national holiday, so dito tinataas ang Philippine flag by top government officials on June
12 each year. So para sa iba sasabihin, why do we need to celebrate independence day kung
nangyari na yon sa matagal na panahon. The most significant achievement of Aguinaldo's
Dictatorial Government was the proclamation of Philippine Independence, why? Because it
marks the nation's freedom from the Spanish rule. Thousands of people from the provinces
gathered here at Kawit, cavite to witness the historic event. Dapat tayo bilang Pilipino, alam
natin ang ating kasaysayan, because by studying history, it allows us to understand our past,
