be reduced to a phrase modifying a noun.
1. Reduce to a Present Participle (Phrase):
That man who is coming towards us is my uncle.

2. Reduce to a Past Participle (Phrase):
The books which were written by To Hoai are interesting.

3. Reduce to a noun (Phrase):
Dr. Fry, who is a Stanford University professor, is an authority on psychology.

4. Reduce to a Prepositional Phrase:
The man who is in the house is my father.
