AGRICULTURE
When the rain falls on bare or unprotected soil, the raindrops hit the soil
and loosen its particles when the water starts flowing, the water carries
the loosened soil particles into streams and rivers.
When it is windy, fine loose soil particles that are not covered by
vegetation such as grass are blown away by the wind. These fine soil
particles then settle elsewhere or far from where they originally came.
Furrows, gullies and streams on land that has been eroded by running
water.
Dust in the air when wind blows.
Exposed roots of trees.
Small furrows forming.
Bare patches in the veld.
Little furrows with muddy water running down towards the river.
