are probably living in the 21st century with a rapid growth of technologies such as television, computers,
cellphones, radio’s and other medium for information.

Being literate about media and information is a very valuable thing as it will give us an advantage in our
modern world today especially in terms of giving and gathering information in different kinds of medium
especially in media. Being inside a country with citizens that is media and information literate will gain
more deeper understanding to what we really need to know and will probably expand our knowledge
about it compare to other countries which stays in traditional way of being literate such as referring to
libraries, newspaper, books and etc. In addition to this, being a media and information literate is
beneficial as it enables people to interpret and make informed judgments as users of information and
media, as well as to become skillful creators and producers of information. Both media and information
literacy recognizes the primary role of information and media in our most everyday lives that also
focuses to freedom of information and expression as it empowers citizens to have a deeper
