Activity 1.

SITUATION 1. On the Video, there was a girl named Melanie who takes her first duty on the new job that
she was hired for. When Melanie was introduced by the HR personnel to the staffs, and officemates
Melanie notices that she was being criticize by the way she looks.

Questions:

1.If you were in the position of Melanie, how will you respond in this situation please answer honestly?

- If I were in the position of Melanie, I would explain how I am confident in working this job and I would
show the staff and officemates that I have my knowledge and skills that can help to promote the
company. I may not be perfect and good looking physically, but I will use my best to show them that this
job suits me and I can make this company improve.

2. What can you say about the attitude being shown by the staffs / officemates towards Melanie? How
will you relate it to Human Behavior in Organizations?

- What I can say about the attitude they showed to Melanie is that they should have preferred to
motivate her, especially since she is a newly hired financial analyst for this company, and they should
have welcomed her so that she would be confident at work. We need to motivate people, especially
when they are just starting out, and we should not judge our fellow human beings because this is the
reason why those people who lose confidence. All we need to do is help and love each other so that we
are all motivated and have confidence.

I can relate it to human behavior in organizations by interacting, communicating, and collaborating to


make it a success. Human behaviour in organizations gives insight into how employees behave and
perform in the workplace. It assists us in developing an awareness of the factors that can encourage
people, enhance their performance, and assist organizations in developing a strong and trusting
relationship with their employees.

3.In the video you will notice, important topics related to Human Behavior in Organizations. Give at least
three topics that you had observe. Write your answer on the space provided.

• The most important thing is to have confidence, even if we are not perfect and good-looking
physically. Having skills and knowledge is also important so we can make an improvement.

• Being at the top is not for ever, so you must focus on your work to maintain it or avoid problems.

• Focus on your goal so you can make it a success.

4.In the video Absenteeism, was also emphasized. In your own opinion, how does absenteeism affect an
organizations performance? Share us your thoughts in the space provided.

- Absenteeism can leave you with insufficient knowledge and confidence to perform your job.It can
affect an individual's productivity. Performance is bound to suffer, as you will have lost time on projects,
training, and updates. It is a critical problem because it can lower overall morale.
Activity 2.

Questions:

1. As a future manager, how will build relationship and motivate your employees to perform better?

- As a future manager, I will always communicate with them and motivate individuals to boost their
confidence. I will give them support and I will appreciate each employee’s role. All I need to do is to
understand their strengths and weaknesses. I also ask their opinions about improving the company so
that they will be willing to share it. Building and maintaining good working relationships will make you
more engaged with your work, improve your career potential, and elevate the whole team. Good work
relationships can give you freedom. People who simply have a good friend in the workplace are more
likely to be happy, and when people see the successes of working together in this way, group morale
and productivity soar. Having a strong professional circle will also help you develop your career, opening
up opportunities that otherwise might pass you by.

2. As a student, what drives you to perform better amidst the pandemic in your online schooling?

- Being alone can drive me to perform better amidst the pandemic in my online schooling because I feel
comfortable with it and I can focus on my studies when it's quiet. Music can also drive me because when
I listen to a song, it motivates me to be active and answer my activities.
