Gryf Intro Speech Class Feedback
Gryf Intro Speech Class Feedback
We are pleased to inform you all were quite successful with your
first speeches this semester. But, some improvements must be made to
take home this year’s House Cup (Or to continue great work this
semester). Please find enclosed a list of some critiques to use and
improve upon for your next spell, OH, I mean speech.
Introductions:
Remember! An attention grabber is not simply telling your
audience your topic you are speaking on. Think about all the
creative ways we discussed to get an audience’s attention.
Don’t forget to preview your main points to come; give your
audience some direction of your speech
Body:
Remember to present those transition statements out loud during
your speech. Take us verbally from one point to the next.
Delivery:
Beware of fast speaking rates! The nerves can get the best of us;
remember to breathe and slow down are speech.
Practice makes perfect for those speaking times; you do not want
to speak too little or too much.
The podium in the front of class may give you a comfortable place
to stand, however, as this semester continues, I challenge you to
have some movement. Perhaps, one day, you can step out from
behind the podium completely!
Outline:
Looking for complete sentences throughout your outline!
Remember proper MLA formatting
Yours Sincerely,
Professor Moody
