Team Performance/Challenges
If my team needs help in resolving issues or conflicts, what
can we do?
• First, try to resolve the issues/conflict within the team – take the time to
develop clear team norms and use them.

• If challenges persist - contact me immediately. You will need to clearly

identify the problem and provide recommendations for resolution. If you
advise me of team issues or conflicts after an assignment has been handed
in that will be too late.

• Please do not leave issues or conflicts unresolved, as they will affect the
team’s performance. Ask for help in a timely manner to avoid problems with
team assignments. Once you accept the behaviour it will continue.

Introduction to Project Communications Management

How much time should a Project Manager spend

communicating?

70% of 10,000 projects in Fortune 500

firms failed because people did not communicate that
something was wrong

Poor leadership in projects attributed to communications

– poor interpersonal skills, not acknowledging
problems and weak management skills.
