Education/Human Services
& Art. Visited McNeilus and
Phlebotomy Booth. I learned
that in order to be able to
draw blood for phlebotomy,
if you're in high school, you
only need to take 9 weeks
of classes. You don't need
much of an education outside
of high school to work at
McNeilus. In the art classroom
I learned that there are so
many different styles of art and
that you want to start small
and eventually grow into a
bigger artist. Artist doesn't
always mean drawing and
painting, it also can mean
like floral arrangements and
setting up a store layout. I
also learned that for art, you
should go somewhere you
want for college, not where
people want you to go. In the
education/human services
class, I learned that you
should start doing small jobs
at the schools and eventually
work your way up to a teacher.
It may also be helpful to take
classes in high school like:
psychology, mental health
awareness, speech, and
communication. It would also
be helpful to take a language
class. Education can pay a
lot if you get better jobs like
principle or if you work at a
bigger school.

room, I learned that you don't
have to be super good at art
to start doing it right away.
There are so many different
types of art styles. It doesn't
pay super well right away
but if you get better the pay
gets better. In the education
room, I learned a lot about the
different contracts that you
can make when you become
a teacher. I also learned that
teachers don't get a lot of
PTO days. During college
bingo I learned what different
college terms meant and how
I can use these things when
I get to college. During the
graduation panel, I learned
that you don't have to go to
college to be successful but if
you do there are many smart
options. In college, classes
are very major specific so
you'd be taking classes that
you'd enjoy. I also learned that
grades aren't so important as
everyone thinks.
