Aerocycle is currently hiring maintenance technicians and apprentices to assist us in the
dismantling and recycling of wide-body and narrow-body transport category aircraft at our Mirabel (CYMX) location. The position is part-time/casual. Retired or semi-retired candidates are accepted. Candidates will work under the supervision of the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AME).
Duties shall include, but are not limited to:
• Adhere to and follow the company’s policies and procedures. • Adhere to and follow the policies and procedures of the affiliated Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO). • Assist the Aircraft Maintenance Engineers in the removal of parts and major components such as actuators, computers, instruments, landing gear, engines, APUs, flight controls, hydraulic components, air conditioning units, etc. • Remove interior components such as sidewalls, seats, galleys, lavatories, ceilings, floors, overhead bins, passenger service units and ducts. • Remove cargo compartment components such as cargo loading systems, ducts, ceilings, sidewalls, and floors. • Fill out the parts identification tags. • Parts packaging. • Drain and decontaminate the aircraft fluids. • Assist in the movement and towing of the aircraft. • Clean and maintain the workplace and vehicles.
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
• Experience in commercial aviation maintenance is preferred. • Experience in automobile, truck, heavy-duty, electrical, or industrial maintenance is required. • Preference will be given to candidates with experience on Airbus and Boeing products. • Familiarity with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Illustrated Parts Catalogues is preferred, but training will be provided to the selected candidates. • Possess a driver’s licence. • Ability to work in Canada. • Possess a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) or have the ability to obtain one. • No criminal record. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Ability to communicate in English and French (preferred). • Ability to read and write in English. • Provide own transportation to Mirabel Airport. • Be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. • Ability to work at heights.
