Passive learning style leads to passive receptive ability.

My method of learning
English from the past to the present is mechanical learning from textbooks,
homebooks, memorizing vocabulary, and doing exercises in a casual way, not
often reviewing old lessons. Therefore, leading to now it is almost 7 years that I
have learned English but the knowledge is still a toddler.
After consulting many opinions through youtube channels and Facebook groups, I
realized that before learning to master a certain field, I must set specific goals
first.
I myself have always been very focused on the listening part, so I will spend the
most time on it. English on podcasts, on channels like CNN, BBC learning English is
not just a boring conversation, it's a story, sometimes is the author's experience,
is news about politics and society. Listening to each word, reading description,
rewrite strange vocabulary, take note slangs, phrasal verb, etc to understand
clearly the story will practice concentration and moreover will increase the
vocabulary significantly
The second is to be aware of where I am in order to choose the right route. Be
sure to know from the most basic level A1 A2, then slowly defeat the more
difficult levels B1 B2, C1, C2. Slow down, review more, consolidate before taking
another step. People often say:" learn to walk before you can run".doesn’t they

That's the whole process of our discussion on the topic of effective English
learning styles. thanks for listening
