think those values would influence the way employees do their work?
There are following Zappos’s corporate Values:

4. Build Culture with some Weirdness & humility
5. Do the things Differently
6. Build Team and Relationship with two-way communication
7. Complex Web of people Interaction (Flat Org. Culture)

For an Online selling platform, providing the whole range of things, firstly attract them to
satisfying their need without any hustle to go market and save time. This can be hectic and
confusion about selecting some commodities from whole range of product. Secondly, having
faith on the product quality when you commit to deliver as fast as you commit create a sense
of customer value. As you give the liberty of return consumer feel safe for not wasting time
and money and help to grow the brand goodwill.
People Selection & Be creative and Open-minded
For any organization, no matter how good your product/service you have if your staff and the
people in your team didn’t on a same page you can’t be competitive and creative with
uniqueness and innovation. In the business culture values we are taking about are support the
team collaboration help people to develop and improve their decision making. Not working in
same manners help to people to do things and in right way with more effective way as it
previously done.

In conclusion, from my point of view firstly providing the right product to right people
eliminate the risk of product quality and failure of monetary benefit. Secondly, it’s the people
who create and it’s the team who lead your vision and make the firm successful, so having
improved communication from top to bottom, will help to share and develop and consume the
culture values. And help to learn the people in the organization.
Using this list of corporate values, describe Zappos’s organizational culture. In which areas
would you say that Zappos’s culture is very high (or typical)? Explain.
An organizational culture refers to share of some organization common beliefs and values by
the members of the organization. In Zappos’s organizational culture, it’s an online leading
selling platform, where no direct face to face interaction. So main focus on internal team
building and team orientation where work in assigned and organized around them to perform
set tasks and try to achieve some goals. While doing stuff company culture how portrait them
and motivate them to be committed to their beliefs and team oriented growth.
With the team orientation company culture focus on outcome orientation where customer is
to be placed on the first priority. Where provide the whole range of product with focusing on
their need and choice and provide them latest product and the customer support in technical
things.
How did Zappos’s corporate culture begin? How is Zappos’s corporate culture maintained?
As we have seen all the organizational culture and beliefs are mostly depicting the founder or
co-founder shared vision and beliefs about the future market.
In this case, Hsieh build the core values with the help of the 300 employees and their shared
vision. According to the case ‘the culture should be lived’, and this is maintained by the
‘complex web of human interaction’. This all happened by the surveys, social media,
understanding the internal situation and help them to improve.
The right culture with the right values will always produce the best organizational
performance. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Why?
I agree with the statement because the individual performance may not be effect the overall
organization but as team and common goal orientation company where all working for single
goal will affect them. It’s the responsibility of the higher authority to analysis the future state
and market trends with proper customer insights and build those core values that create the
culture for grow individual level and ultimately grow the organization.
Therefore, we can say the culture in zappos is unique and with the changing preference setting
the industry norms.
