Yeliz Hacıhaliloğlu’s Speech, Intertek and Sustainability in Business

Mrs. Yeliz Hacıhaliloğlu, who is the Sustainability Solutions Business

Development Manager at England-based transnational corporation Intertek talked about
Sustainability in business area. She mentioned numerous principles about it.
Mrs. Yeliz Hacıhaliloğlu mentioned that the assurance. According to her, assurance is the
most relevant aspect of their company. I agree with this thought because assurance is the
most necessary factor in business life. When we work on something, we must be sure the
assurance occurs in that business area. Furthermore, she argues that the climate change is the
basic reason of sustainability. This is quite correct. Indeed, such as carbon footprint, CO2
gases are big issues since years. Sustainability solutions is correlated the climate change the
most. Another point she mentioned was the principles which are human rights and fighting
against corruption etc.. These issues are really difficult to fight.
In summary, sustainability has only 3 important aims which are (1) end to ultra-poverty, (2)
fighting against inequality and injustice and (3) fixing the climate change. Hence, these
purposes show that the sustainability exist as economically, socially and environmentally.
Therefore, everyone should live without ignoring these problems because if a person lives in
the world, he/she is responsible to protect the world.
