Over a decade philosophers have rational explications and justification of beliefs (Pecorino,

2001). For philosophers there are no ideas to be accepted in faith; however, we Christians are
ordinary people who have come to know the transforming power of Christ's love and the amazing
grace He has extended to us, which encourages our faith (Eglise La Pêche). Nonetheless, some
people continue to wonder whether religious belief or faith is required. Is it possible that it will save
us from eternal sins? God's Word says that we are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus
and not by our own efforts or works (Ephesians 2:8-9). In this case, the discussion articulates the
necessity of religious beliefs and its possibility of salvation from immortal sins.

We Christians always told to have faith and trust God because He knows better than we do.
According to Smith (2016), there is an inherent beauty in all religion, as it brings meaning to a
seemingly devoid life. In the same citation, Smith (2016) stated that religion plays a necessary role
in society and politics, and gives us a chance to make our life worth living. In other words, the
necessity of religion through religious beliefs is that no matter what you are looking for, it fills you
up as faith in God makes life better.

Therefore, having faith is having trust. We may have different perceptions in religious
aspect but we are all bind in belief that faith as uneasy, still, it is worth it. Besides, developing a life
of praise and worship drives darkness away and helps our faith in God. As the bible says, without
faith it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. Withal, faith is a confident faithfulness of God
in His declared promises, talks and acts in bible verses.

On the other hand, Wagner (2016) stated the notion that salvation is totally of God and is
the result that anyone does is hard or easy to grasp. Furthermore, the bible makes it clear that
salvation is sola gratia which means by grace alone. As Ephesians 2:8-9 says, for it is grace you
have been saved through faith. It is not from yourself or anything you have done but the gift of
God. In other words, having faith brings salvation as Ephesians 2:8-9 says.

Whereas, faith in Jesus Christ is essential to be saved and justified as true faith has a
backbone. Consequently, if you are going to talk the talk, you are going to walk the walk. In other
words, if someone is truly a Christian, his or her life is going to be characterized by a growing faith
and live in accordance with faith over the long haul. Hence, this is a consequence of faith and not
a condition. Besides, our deeds are not the basis of our salvation, but an evidence of our
salvation.

This process of understanding the religious beliefs articulates whatever you in prayer, you
will receive if you have faith. Every day we need to get a full dose of the word and meditate on
scriptures, and if you discipline yourself and remain consistent, faith grows and become mature.
Just like a candle cannot be burn without fire, mankind cannot live without spiritual life.

I conclude having our own religious belief/faith is necessary to understand our spiritual self
and religious beliefs as having faith can save us from sin, hence, we Christians believe that
salvation is essential to have a relationship with God while we are on earth, and to have eternal
life with God in heaven after death. As Martin Luther says, the recognition of sin is the beginning of
salvation.
