Needed Appropriate crochet hook for yarn (the thicker the yarn and larger the hook, the bigger the gnome).
Fiberfill.
Stitches magic circle, sc (=single crochet), sl (=slip stitch), inc (=increase, 2 sc in 1 stitch), 2tog (=crochet 2 together)

HAT

1 magic circle with 4 sc (4) 22 (inc 1, 5 sc) 3x (21)

2-3 1 sc in each st (4) 23-24 1 sc in each st (21)

4 (inc 1, 1 sc) 2x (6) 25 (inc 1, 6 sc) 3x (24)

5-6 1 sc in each st (6) 26-27 1 sc in each st (24)

FINISHING

Sew the arms and legs on the body.

Sew the nose on the body and sew or glue the fluffy beard yarn around the nose.
Sew the hat on the top.
