It is with considerable interest that I apply for the Music Teacher position currently available at your
school. As an upcoming graduate from James Madison University with a degree in Music Education, I
have fresh knowledge and a dynamic outlook on music education. With my experience teaching students
of all ages over the past four years, I am confident in my ability to become an asset to your educational
institution.

As a versatile individual, I have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of practicum
experience ranging from PreK through High School. Through these experiences, I have been fortunate
enough to educate many diverse groups of students. One of my most significant experiences was my
semester practicum at Waterman Elementary School with a special needs kindergarten class. During this
time I worked with students and staff members to assist in a wide variety of lessons in multiple subjects.

My goal is to instill a sense of music appreciation, while at the same time expanding childrens’ interests
in music by integrating multicultural lessons, incorporating a wide range of activities, and working on
cooperative learning projects. I will foster a fun learning environment that allows students to blossom
into well-rounded individuals.

I love the ability to connect the community with music and teach learners of all abilities. I look forward to
working with administration to find the best ways to serve and advocate for all students.
