    1. What is the distinction between the eastern and western conception of the self?

    -The existence of a human self is acknowledged in Western philosophy.


    -The existence of a human self is strongly denied in Eastern philosophy.

    2. With the eastern and western traditions, which influence are you most attuned to? Why?

    -Neither. The terms "east" and "west" are ambiguous.


    I'm tuned in to the Absolute, which is the One without a second and comprises everything.
    Material dualistic identity loses its significance when a certain number of births and deaths have
    occurred.
