Procedure for Preparation of Disinfectant Solution:

Chemicals Required:
 Distilled Water 1000 mL
 Dettol 25 mL

Apparatus Required:
 Beakers
 Stirrer
 Measuring Cylinder

Methodology:
2.5% Dettol (For 1 L)
 Take 500 mL of Purified Water and add 25 mL of Dettol make-up volume to 1000 mL with
Purified Water. Mix well the whole volume.

ALL PURPOSE HARD SURFACE CLEANER:


Chemicals Required:
(A)
Water (84.50 W/W)
Propylene Glycol n-Butyl Ether (5.00 W/W)

Potassium Hydroxide, 45% (2.00 W/W)

(B)
Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, 30% (3.50 W/W)

Alcohol Alkoxylate (3.00 W/W)

GLDA, 47% (2.00 W/W))

(C)
Fragrances, Colour, etc.

Methodology:
 Mix Part A in listed order
 Add Part B in listed order to Part A and mix until formulation is clear
 Add Part C
Property Appearance:
Colorless, clear liquid pH-value: 11.5

FlOOR CLEANER:
Chemicals Required:
(A)
Water (94.50 W/W)
Propylene Glycol (0.50 W/W)

GLDA, 47% (2.00 W/W)

(B)
Sodium Cocoyl Sarcosinate, 30% (3.00 W/W)

(C)
Citric Acid

(D)
Fragrances, Colour, etc.

Methodology:
 Mix Part A in listed order n
 Add Part B to Part A and mix until formulation is clear n
 Adjust pH-value with Part C while stirring
 Add Part D

Property Appearance:
Colorless, clear liquid pH-value: 6.5 – 7.5

REFRIGERATOR CLEANER “ODOUR ABSORBING”:


Chemicals Required:
(A)
Water (80.00 W/W)
Ethanol or Isopropyl Alcohol (10.00 W/W)

Zinc Ricinolate (5.00W/W)


(B)
Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, 30% (2.00 W/W)

Methodology:
Mix Part A until formulation appears homogeneous

Add Part B

Property Appearance:
Appearance: colourless, clear liquid pH-value: 7.0 – 8.0
