Virtual Summer Schools – Information for Students

How to Join:

You will be added to a dedicated Team on MS Teams, where you will be able to access the scheduled
sessions. Any relevant documentation and any announcements will also be placed on this Team.
Please ensure you keep Teams open over the period of the Summer School.

The events are timetabled between 9am to 12 noon (with lots of breaks!) and then from 1pm to
3pm.

Please note all the sessions are running British Summer Time Zone – so you can be aware of the time
difference .

Etiquette:

Please join with microphones switched off (you can turn this on, of course, if wishing to speak). We
will leave it in your discretion as to whether you have your camera on. If you have any questions
throughout the course of any of the events, please use the “raise hand” or “chat” function to draw
the presenter’s attention. There may be specific instructions for certain sections of the Summer
School.

Please be courteous throughout – both to tutors/presenters and to other students. And pleased be
prepared to participate; the Summer Schools thrive and depend on student interaction.

Note that you will receive a certificate upon completion, subject to satisfactory attendance.
