1.4.5 Comparison of 2D and 3D model results

After analysis it was observed that stresses, strains, displacements, buckling and modal
values of both differs in a specific range due to equivalent model construction.

In term of accuracy 3D model gives better illustration and forces and all constant values
of fiber and matrix are solved as two different materials but in case of 2D model it is not
the case as equivalent values are used instead of two different values due to properties
vary and at the end results vary that can be shown in above analysis. The biggest
drawback of 2D model is that it has no 3rd dimension

In terms of computation definitely 2D model is faster and meshes into less elements and
nodes as compared to 3D models where computation is not much fast and takes lot of
time to solve.
