International Organizations
An international organization is a stable set of standards and laws that control the
behavior of nations and other actors in the international system (also known as an international
institution or an intergovernmental organization). Organizations can be created through a treaty
or as a legal entity governed by international law with its own legal personality. While sovereign
states are the primary legal actors, international organizations are becoming increasingly vital in
assisting us in our global governance. Non-governmental organizations, transnational
corporations, and civil society organizations, in addition to nations, can be both legal and
illegitimate (terrorists groups, organized crime structures).
International organization plays a vital role in international affairs. It definitely portray its
own purpose in international community. With these organizations, environmental preservation,
humanitarian concerns, human rights, security, peace, and more were achieved by the states. The
relationship between member states were better because of these organizations.
