Punjab Chief Minister-designate Bhagwant Mann has cleared Sidhu's name

for the position, The Tribune reported.

Sidhu has been the President of the Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar
Association not less than eight times. He was also Chairperson of the Bar
Council of Punjab and Haryana, Additional Solicitor General of India, and
Additional Advocate General for both the States of Punjab and Haryana.

On March 11, Senior Advocate Deepinder Singh Patwalia had resigned from

the post of Advocate General in the wake of the change of government in the
State.
