CHAPTER 2 Scenarios 7
Limitations/Disclaimer
This lab presents four of the five core Cisco® Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Cloud Calling apps
(CER is not included) and is primarily intended to be a pre-sales support tool for Cisco UCM Cloud Calling.
Cisco dCloud hosts the applications and provides 10 DIDs per session for users to support demos, POC, and
training.
Customization Options
This lab is highly customizable and includes the following optional applications that are NOT included in the
UCM Cloud Calling offer:
• MS Windows AD, DNS, ADFS
• MS Exchange
• ASR 1K virtual router
• Windows workstations to host applications
• Control Hub Admin Account
• Webex Teams™
• Webex® Calling
• Webex Meetings
These applications allow end users the convenience of developing integrated Webex solutions from a
single dCloud instance. The cloud and hosted Webex Enablement Lab guide is an excellent reference
document for building out Webex services.
Requirements
The table below outlines the requirements for this preconfigured lab.
Required Optional
Cisco AnyConnect client Cisco Enterprise hardware endpoints (Call Manager 12.5 support matrix)
Laptop Cisco MPP phones if building an integrated Cloud Calling solution with
Webex calling
Topology
This demonstration includes several server virtual machines. Most of the servers are fully configurable using
the administrative level account.
Administrative account details are included in the lab guide steps where relevant and in the server details
table.

Session Users
The table below contains details on preconfigured users available for your session.
User Details
Get Started
Follow the steps to schedule a session of the content and configure your presentation environment.
Procedure
Step 1 Initiate your dCloud session (skip if you are in a proctored environment). [Show Me How]
Note It may take up to 45 minutes for your session to become active.
Step 2 Click View to open the active session (skip if you are in a proctored environment).
Step 3 Install and access Cisco AnyConnect on your laptop, using AnyConnect credentials in dCloud UI. [Show
Me How]
Step 4 If connecting directly to the session from a stand-alone laptop or other device, install and access Cisco
AnyConnect on your laptop, using AnyConnect credentials in dCloud UI. [Show Me How]
a) Recommended method: Use Cisco AnyConnect [Show Me How] and local laptop RDP client.
b) Windows Users: It is recommended to use some version of Remote Desktop Manager to save connections
to each virtual machine. An example is Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection Manager which can be
found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44989
[ ] applications to connect to virtual machines. MRD can be downloaded free at Mac App Store.
CoRD can be downloaded free at http://cord.sourceforge.net/. Each application gives you the capability
to save connections for each virtual machine.
Important DO NOT use the Microsoft remote desktop client that comes with your Mac. It has security
issues connecting to the AD1 and Mail1 virtual machines.
Note For best results, use either Firefox or Chrome web browsers.
Procedure
Step 1 If not already connected, use Cisco AnyConnect to VPN into your lab session.
Note Login credentials will be provided by your proctor or displayed on session details tab for your active
session.
Step 2 Create RDP connection to Workstation 1 (198.18.1.36) and log in as dcloud\cholland with password
C1sco12345.
Step 3 To make changes to UCM Administration list, navigate to User Management > End User. Remote desktop
into MS Windows AD, DNS, ADFS server and make the changes from AD server.
Step 4 Afterwards, resync active directory changes from System > LDAP > LDAP Directory.
Password Management
The default password for user accounts configured on the MS Windows AD server is C1sco12345.
Procedure
Step 1 Remote desktop in to the AD server to add, modify, or delete user account properties.
Step 2 Follow with a UCM LDAP manual sync.
External DID Call Routing Setup Using Session Details > Phone Numbers
Each dCloud session is allocated 10 DID numbers owned by Cisco. The DID country and area codes will
align with the dCloud datacenters. For example, if the user dCloud session is hosted in the Cisco RTP (US
East) data center, then the allocated DIDs will have area code 919. dCloud sessions hosted in the Cisco SJC
(US West) data center will allocate DIDs with area code 408.
The External (DID) allocated for each dCloud session is listed in dCloud Session Details > Phone Numbers.
Each External (DID) is mapped by dCloud backend to an Internal (DN). Devices requiring PSTN access must
have a line configured with the corresponding Internal (DN).
For example, in the Session Details > Phone Numbers example below, a device configured with extension
6017 is mapped to External DID 919-991-3947.
This scenario covers the initial Webex Control Hub setup. Once the org administrator is up and running, then
additional Webex services can be created and added to the UCM Cloud Calling POC.
Procedure
Step 1 If not already connected, use Cisco AnyConnect to VPN in to your lab session. Login credentials will be
provided by your proctor or displayed on the session details tab for your active session.
Step 2 Create an RDP connection to Workstation 1 (198.18.1.36) and log in as dcloud\cholland with password
C1sco12345.
This lists all the dCloud Instant Demos.
Step 3 Open Microsoft Outlook from icon in taskbar
[ .]
Step 4 For profile name, enter Charles and click OK.
Step 5 In your Inbox, you'll see an email with subject line Welcome to Cisco Webex Services Trial as well as one
with subject of Your password was updated. If you don’t see one or both of these emails, you might need
to set Charles’ password manually.
Note After script is completed, you'll log in with Webex basic credentials. Along with creating users and
setting passwords, each lab user will be configured for Message, Meeting, and Call. All user
passwords will be set to dCloud123! and any steps in the guide that describe setting a user’s password
can be skipped.
