Get Started
Follow the steps to schedule a session of the content and configure your presentation environment.

Procedure

Step 1 Initiate your dCloud session (skip if you are in a proctored environment). [Show Me How]
Note It may take up to 45 minutes for your session to become active.

Step 2 Click View to open the active session (skip if you are in a proctored environment).
Step 3 Install and access Cisco AnyConnect on your laptop, using AnyConnect credentials in dCloud UI. [Show
Me How]
Step 4 If connecting directly to the session from a stand-alone laptop or other device, install and access Cisco
AnyConnect on your laptop, using AnyConnect credentials in dCloud UI. [Show Me How]
a) Recommended method: Use Cisco AnyConnect [Show Me How] and local laptop RDP client.

b) Windows Users: It is recommended to use some version of Remote Desktop Manager to save connections
to each virtual machine. An example is Microsoft’s Remote Desktop Connection Manager which can be
found at https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=44989

c) Mac Users: It is recommended to use Microsoft Remote Desktop (MRD) [ ] or CoRD

[ ] applications to connect to virtual machines. MRD can be downloaded free at Mac App Store.
CoRD can be downloaded free at http://cord.sourceforge.net/. Each application gives you the capability
to save connections for each virtual machine.
Important DO NOT use the Microsoft remote desktop client that comes with your Mac. It has security
issues connecting to the AD1 and Mail1 virtual machines.
Note For best results, use either Firefox or Chrome web browsers.

Step 5 Use Cisco AnyConnect VPN, RDP to connect to following workstation.

a) Workstation 1: 198.18.1.36, Username: dcloud\cholland, Password: C1sco12345
Step 6 To run this lab, you need some information from Session Details tab on your dCloud dashboard session page.
Obtain Collaboration Edge domain information. It is highly recommended to take note of this information
now so that you can refer to it throughout the lab.
Warning Each session has a unique domain. The image that follows is only an example. Do not use information
in the image below for your session.

CHAPTER 2
Scenarios
• Cisco UCM Cloud Configuration, on page 7
• Extending Additional Webex Services to UCM Cloud Calling POCs, on page 9

Cisco UCM Cloud Configuration

Value Proposition: The Cisco UCM Cloud applications have been pre-configured to allow end users to
register devices and start making calls with minimal effort.
The assumption here is that the end-user is familiar with Call Manager, IM&P, and Unity and can utilize the
pre-configurated devices and dial plans to start making calls.

LDAP Synchronized User

Cisco UCM Cloud is an enterprise solution and most deployments will include integrating the customer Active
Directory server for user management policies. The preconfigured UCM Administration list is from the dCloud
session MS Windows AD, DNS, ADFS server.

Procedure

Step 1 If not already connected, use Cisco AnyConnect to VPN into your lab session.
Note Login credentials will be provided by your proctor or displayed on session details tab for your active
session.

Step 2 Create RDP connection to Workstation 1 (198.18.1.36) and log in as dcloud\cholland with password
C1sco12345.
Step 3 To make changes to UCM Administration list, navigate to User Management > End User. Remote desktop
into MS Windows AD, DNS, ADFS server and make the changes from AD server.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Cloud v2

7
Scenarios
Password Management

Step 4 Afterwards, resync active directory changes from System > LDAP > LDAP Directory.

Password Management
The default password for user accounts configured on the MS Windows AD server is C1sco12345.

Procedure

Step 1 Remote desktop in to the AD server to add, modify, or delete user account properties.
Step 2 Follow with a UCM LDAP manual sync.

External DID Call Routing Setup Using Session Details > Phone Numbers
Each dCloud session is allocated 10 DID numbers owned by Cisco. The DID country and area codes will
align with the dCloud datacenters. For example, if the user dCloud session is hosted in the Cisco RTP (US
East) data center, then the allocated DIDs will have area code 919. dCloud sessions hosted in the Cisco SJC
(US West) data center will allocate DIDs with area code 408.
The External (DID) allocated for each dCloud session is listed in dCloud Session Details > Phone Numbers.
Each External (DID) is mapped by dCloud backend to an Internal (DN). Devices requiring PSTN access must
have a line configured with the corresponding Internal (DN).
For example, in the Session Details > Phone Numbers example below, a device configured with extension
6017 is mapped to External DID 919-991-3947.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Cloud v2

8
Scenarios
External DID Call Routing Device Line Setup

External DID Call Routing Device Line Setup

For example, the device below is assigned DID 919-991-3947. Based on the dCloud Session Details > Phone
Numbers mapping, the device line configuration must be assigned to 6017, as shown below.

Extending Additional Webex Services to UCM Cloud Calling

POCs
Value Proposition: In addition to UCM Cloud Calling, each dCloud session is pre-configured to support
Cisco Webex Meetings, Teams, and Calling. This flexibility allows the end user to build integrated Webex
solutions to support POCs.

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (UCM) Cloud v2

9
Scenarios
Setting up Webex Control Hub

This scenario covers the initial Webex Control Hub setup. Once the org administrator is up and running, then
additional Webex services can be created and added to the UCM Cloud Calling POC.

Setting up Webex Control Hub

Webex services are managed from Webex Control Hub. The preconfigured org administrator is Charles
Holland.
In this scenario, you will set up the initial administrator account and go through the process of importing users
from the Active Directory. The trial has already been started for you.
Also, Charles Holland, the org administrator, has his password already set to dCloud123! For reference, the
steps to create a customer trial can be found at https://collaborationhelp.cisco.com/article/en-us/npv2y12.
You will now verify the initial automation scripts ran properly to create your trial and set Charles’ password.

Procedure

Step 1 If not already connected, use Cisco AnyConnect to VPN in to your lab session. Login credentials will be
provided by your proctor or displayed on the session details tab for your active session.
Step 2 Create an RDP connection to Workstation 1 (198.18.1.36) and log in as dcloud\cholland with password
C1sco12345.
This lists all the dCloud Instant Demos.
Step 3 Open Microsoft Outlook from icon in taskbar

[ .]
Step 4 For profile name, enter Charles and click OK.

Step 5 In your Inbox, you'll see an email with subject line Welcome to Cisco Webex Services Trial as well as one
with subject of Your password was updated. If you don’t see one or both of these emails, you might need
to set Charles’ password manually.
Note After script is completed, you'll log in with Webex basic credentials. Along with creating users and
setting passwords, each lab user will be configured for Message, Meeting, and Call. All user
passwords will be set to dCloud123! and any steps in the guide that describe setting a user’s password
can be skipped.

Step 6 Open Chrome browser to https://admin.webex.com, enter cholland@cbXXX.dc-YY.com, and click

Step 7 Enter dCloud123! as password and click Sign In.
Step 8 Click Accept when prompted.
