Source Analysis
Process and Format
An extended response requires that you address two required tasks.
Task One:
Interpret each source, identify and explain the ideological perspective presented (the
“ism” presented) in each source, and discuss the links between the principles of
Citizenship, identity, and Quality of Life and each source.
(Note: To ensure that you address and competently complete this first required task, it is
important that you complete the analysis in a logically organized format. The following example
is a suggested format.)
First, interpret/explain what the source is saying/showing.
Source A is a political cartoon/chart/ map/excerpt… that is saying/depicting
