Objective:
Calculate the ( Mass fraction of solid mixture components).

INTRODUCTION:
The primary function of precision particle analysis is to obtain
quantitative data about the size and size distribution of particles
in the material. There is a wide range of instrumental and other
methods of particle size analysis available, Sieve analysis is one
of the oldest methods of size analysis and is accomplished by
passing a known weight of sample material successively through
finer sieves and weighing the amount collected on each sieve to
determine the percentage weight in each size fraction. Sieving is
carried out with wet or dry materials and the sieves are usually
shaked manually or automatically
Apparatus and materials:
Sieving or screening, balance, mixture sample.

Procedure:
1. Calculate the weight of mixture sample.
2. Prepare the certain number of screening size(at least four size, with
arrangement).
3. Put the mixture sample in the upper(biggest).
4. Connect the equipment carefully.
5. Select the certain time and operating force.
6. Calculate the weight of each size.
Calculation and results:

Mass of sand = 260 g

Mass of sand after sieving
M1 → 4.75 MM →136 g
M 2→ 850 MIC → 150 g
M 3→ 600 MIC→ 22.75 g
M4 → 425 MIC→ 20.5 g
M 5→ 250 MIC→ 6.8 g
M 6→ 150 MIC→ 3.2 g
M 7→ 75 MIC→ 2.1 g
M powder → 1g

 this experiment is to obtain quantitative data about the
size and size distribution of particles in the material,
and is used when you want to separate the substance
by their size.

2-Did we can arrangement the size randomly?

 We have to arrange the size screen from the largest
opening to smallest opening
