Methods of Network Management

Network management is the process of administration, maintenance and configuration of data

network by use of a network management system. In the recent years network management

systems have been modernized whereby systems use hardware and software to continuously

gather and analyze data, as well as pushing out updates to network system for the purpose of

bettering performance, security, efficiency and reliability. In this paper we are going to give a

detailed insight on the major network management methods, their relation to the institution’s

risk, and how the methods alleviate the risks.
