Examples of intentions for families

“May all families be a reflection of the Church, may they teach

love, respect, sharing and service, that all members of the family
grow together in your Spirit. We pray to the Lord.

“For families going through hard times with sickness,

unemployment or death, may they keep the flame of hope
burning in their hearts and may your love and the love that
unites them give them the strength to push forward. We pray to
the Lord.”

“For families suffering from separation, may they find the

inspiration for dialogue and the appeasement necessary for
forgiveness. We pray to the Lord.”

“May every family be a source through which your love appears

and grows. May they welcome the children, be a warm refuge
for the suffering and the lonely, be of service to their
community, create and share beauty. We pray to the Lord.”

O God, who were pleased to give us the shining example of the Holy
Family, graciously grant that we may imitate them in practicing the
virtues of family life and in the bonds of charity, and so, in the joy of
your house, delight one day in eternal rewards. We pray to the Lord

For parents, guardians, and teachers, that they may always realize
the preciousness of the young lives in their care: We pray to the Lord
For children who are lost and abandoned and for children who have
been abducted, that, through God’s loving providence, they will
return to their homes quickly and safely: We pray to the Lord

For families in crisis, for families in mourning, for families estranged

and separated, that Christ may be present to them in the loving
support of neighbors and friends: We pray to the Lord

For all our family members and friends who have died, that they may
live in the presence of God forever: We pray to the Lord
