Respected Sir

I am writing this letter to express my anguish and annoyance over the problem of loud music from the
nearby marriage hall quite late into the night. I am preparing the test for Himachal Pradesh public
survice commission(HPPSC). I have to study day night for this test. During the day the loud noise from
speakers disturb and distract as much as it does at night. Especially at the weekends the loud music from
the hall is just unbearable. During the last weekend I could not study at all. As a result my stress and
anxiety just hit the roof. In spite of the law prohibiting loud music playing beyond 11 o’ clock, people just
violate the rules and regulations. I have personally requested the marriage hall owner to look into the
matter, but he did not listen to me.

There are thousands of students like me who have to suffer on account of this problem. Besides, the
loudspeakers also cause lots of harassment to elderly people, patients, and babies. I on behalf of all the
students of the city and loudspeakers’ victims plead and appeal to you to look into the matter and
ensure proper peace after 11 p.m. so that we can study and have a peaceful life. I am hopeful you will
take prompt action in this regard.
