Course objective:
Locate and replace defective components and restart system
Target group: Service technicians
Procedure: Following a short introduction to the system, the course will focus on how to operate the
system in everyday use. Course participants are given the use of training equipment for
this purpose. Participants will practice locating and replacing defective components and
restarting the system. They will also save application-specific project data and transfer this
to the newly replaced modules
Tools in use: PC-Software AIPEX PRO or AIPEX and CODESYS (as agreed)
Course contents:
Overview - Devices and components
Connectors, interfaces, device technology, options, accessories
Backing up application-specific system data
Diagnostics, error localisation
Replacement of modules
Transfer of backup application-specific data
System restart
Prerequisites:
General knowledge of servo-drive technology.
Please bring a laptop for the practical exercises. Each course participant must have
administrator rights for their own laptop.

Course objective:

Course objective:
Introduction to handling and operation of the following drive systems:
- AMKASYN KE/KW
- AMKASYN iX/iC
- AMKASMART iDT/iDP
Target group: Practical users, programmers, developers and commissioning experts
Course summary:
Participants will be given a presentation to get an overview of the respective drive system as
well as the knowledge needed for its proper handling and operation. The focus of the course
will be on the subsequent practical exercises which shall enable the participants to learn how to
handle and operate the drive system and the AIPEX PRO software tool.
Any training equipment required for this purpose will be provided.
Controller module:
KW-R06 and KW-R16 with EtherCAT
Integrated controller card iDT/iDP/iX/iC with EtherCAT

Product overview: inverters, motors, controllers and accessories
Servo drive system – principles of operation

Course objective:
Introduction to handling and operation of the CODESYS development environment V2 and the
Structured Text programming language according to IEC 61131.
Target group: CODESYS beginners or as preparation for AMK controller programming A4/A5.
Course summary:
Participants will be given a presentation to get an overview of the product as well as the
necessary knowledge needed for its proper handling and operation.
The focus of the course will be on the practical exercises which shall enable the participants to
learn how to work with CODESYS and Structured Text programming language.
Tools used: AIPEX PRO PC software
Course content:
CODESYS functions and libraries
IEC programming language Structured Text (ST)
Data declaration
Defined data types (arrays, structures, enumeration types)
Standard modules according to IEC 61131-3
Visualization elements
Requirements:
Basic knowledge of PLC programming or a high level language would be of advantage.

Course objective:
Introduction to handling and operation of AMKAMAC A-series controllers and programming of
controllers according to IEC 61131.
Target group: Practical users, programmers
Course summary:
knowledge needed for its proper handling and operation. The focus of the course will be on the
practical exercises which shall enable the participants to learn how to handle and operate
CODESYS, standard AFL axes and AFL application modules.

Tools used: AIPEX PRO PC software and AFL libraries
Course content:
Product overview: controllers and accessories
Writing a PLC program for AMK drives with the following functions:
Status, control and diagnostics
Torque, speed and position control
Real-time level positioning
Integration of an external encoder (hand wheel)
Virtual master as a set point generator
Creating a cam disc function
Integration of an EtherCAT I/O terminal
Creating a visualization
Requirements:
Sound knowledge of CODESYS programming software and Structured Text programming language.
Prior participation in the training course „Basic knowledge of AMK controller programming“ is
recommended. Please bring a notebook for the practical exercises. Each course participant must

Course objective:
Introduction to handling and operation of the AMK safety system
Target group: Practical users, programmers, developers and commissioning experts
Course summary:
Participants will be given a presentation to get an overview of the respective drive system as
well as the knowledge needed for its proper handling and operation. The focus of the course
will be on the subsequent practical exercises which shall enable the participants to learn how to
handle and operate the AMK safety drive system and the AIPEX PRO Safety Editor.
For this purpose, the necessary training equipment including controller cards KW-R07 and Safety
Boards will be provided. Instructions will be given via local safety inputs and outputs.

The respective fees for the training courses apply to initial registration and do not include statutory value added tax. Individual
quotes will be provided in case of group registration or for customised training courses.
AMK software products are not included in the course fee. We will be happy to provide you with an individual offer for the required
number of the software licenses for your company.
In the case of cancellation of the course registration up to 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the course, 50 % of the total course
fee will be charged.

companies. We reserve the right to cancel/suggest an alternative date for courses with less than 3 registered
