Executive summary:

This report looks at four areas of project planning. Areas of project leadership and
governance, resource planning, risk assessment and mitigation and project monitoring and
evaluation. These four areas of ABC Bank's ATM Software project will be discussed in detail
by Kin Links Inc. After going through each of the areas mentioned above it is compared to a
project management theory framework. By comparison, it was found that although some of
the areas listed above were very similar there were some that were not. There was little
difference in all four areas of operation. Details can be found in this document.
Introduction

This report looks at the central project planning process and compares it with theoretical
aspects of project management. The project used in this report is a modified version of a real
life project undertaken by Nirvana National Bank. The following is an online link to the
project document used in this report. The report will focus on the following areas for the
selected project. The areas are, project leadership and governance, resource planning, risk
assessment and mitigation and project evaluation and evaluation. The report will focus on
how the aforementioned areas are implemented in the selected project and compare each area
separately with the project management aspects of each project. Other areas for this project
are not in this report. The project selected for this purpose is the ATM Software project
undertaken by Kin Links Inc. to build ABC Bank ATM service software. ABC Bank is a
newly established bank that hopes to grow their businesses nationwide. Kin Links Inc., a
software solution specialist company, has proposed a project management application. The
following is the scope, purpose and vision, objectives and presentation of the project.

1. Scope
The scope of this work is to develop ABC Bank ATM management software and easy-to-use
ATM software for bank customers and to provide adequate training to ABC Bank employees.
2. Mission
Opinion of Kin Links Inc. is to become the best software solution provider in the nation. The
aim of this project is to provide ABC Bank with an error-free software that meets all the
requirements of the Bank and provides appropriate training to employees.
3. Objective
The objectives of the project include the following:

 Completion of the project by the deadline given to ABC bank

 Completing the project within a given budget
 Join a bank customer website with ATM software to track accounts
 Build management software and ATM interface that conforms to the specified
conditions
4. Deliverables
The following are the implications of the project

 Management software and ATMs

 Software installation
 Project and software documentation
 Staff training
Analysis

The contractor for the project is ABC Bank, and was made by KinLinks Inc. project manager,
Ahmed Mohamed. The Kin Links project manager leads the project and separates the
different project activities into different groups. Each party has a leader who reports directly
to Mr. Ahmed about work. ABC Bank should contact Mr. Ahmed for details on this project.
Any explanations and / or tools required by the parties referred to Mr. Ahmed contact the
senior management for any necessary tools and contact with ABC Bankif require further
explanations. Team meetings should be held weekly to monitor the progress of the project
and discuss other related issues. Meeting participants will be team leaders and project
manager Mr. Ahmed. An association chart of reputable groups can be viewed of this text.
Roles and responsibilities are assigned to each group. Team leaders will be responsible for
performing the tasks and completing them by the deadlines. These leaders will handle the
work while they participate in the work itself. In the event that one activity becomes a pre-
activity activity, as one team may remain inactive, it will be assisting other groups in a
practical way. For example, a highly skilled person who works in the field of design and who
is able to plan, can help the work in the area of coding. Roles and responsibilities are
provided. The above is how the project is managed by ABC Bank and led by Kin Links Inc.
Now let’s compare the above points with project theory theory and leadership.
What Mr. Ahmed does not think it is possible for staff under each team to share information
with the team leader. However, he recognizes his role and assigns different project tasks to
different teams in the larger team. Mr. Ahmed relies on many players to keep up the work. It
depends on his teams, team leaders (executives), senior managers and contractors. As a
project manager should understand how stakeholders can affect the work and should develop
ways to manage dependency, rather than trying to do everything himself.
Resource Scheduling
Kin Links Inc. project manager, Mr. Ahmed, have made tables showing the amount of
expertise required for each stage of the work. The table shows the pay per hour and the
number of people required for each location. The table also specifies the number of working
hours for each professional / professional team. This table is provided of this report.Increase
or decrease in costs should be directed to the senior management of Kin Links Inc. When the
property is used, although it has a lot of value to be spent, Mr. Ahmed has set specific limits
on each stage of this project. In the event of a shortage of resources, there will be meetings
with party leaders to determine what else is needed and a formal request to be made to senior
management. Then, the remaining workload is calculated before allocating new resources, so
that as soon as the project is completed, additional resources can be removed or relocated to
the existing project. Compared to the project management theory. We do not have to worry
about resources. We do not know if resources are available for use at any time. From this we
can conclude that it is not a resource pressured project and the redistribution of resources is a
testament to the above. From this it can be concluded that the project is often delayed rather
than constrained by resource constraints. has changed. This is followed by the fact that this
however does not apply. From the above points it is known that resources are redistributed as
necessary. that this guide is followed by Mr. Ahmed in this project as he has created resource
allocation plans. This area is exactly same as the one taught by project management theory.
Risk and Mitigation Assessment

Each project has risks that no planning level can overcome. Therefore, risk assessment and
development strategies to overcome them are necessary for the continuation of any project. In
this ATM application, Mr. Ahmed provided details of the risk assessment in his project plan.
The risk classification table is used, from the beginning to the end of the project, to maintain
the risk
possible or unlikely as the project progresses, the risk is rated “high, medium, low” according
to at their level. This table is already listed for possible risks, and if it can be estimated the
current phase of the project is omitted”
In addition, team leaders are tasked with compiling a list of potential risks each week as the
project progresses and is taken to weekly meetings where solutions are discussed with project
participants. Risk table provided
.Risk response strategies are developed by the project as it progresses. As risks are identified
and a reduction program is developed in group discussion meetings where party leaders come
up with potential risks that occur on a weekly basis. From a theoretical point of view, (Larson
& Gray, 2011) points out that some risks can be identified before others start. it cannot be
predicted at all. As a result the project manager mentioned above has identified some of the
initial risks to the project while allowing his team members to come up with potential risks as
they continue the work. We also know that risk is appropriate and can be measured in terms
of severity. In this project, vulnerable people are labeled high, medium or low according to
their level of impact. To come up with the best solutions the project manager involves the
whole team to solve possible problems and risks. However, the risk assessment matrix is not
used as it is taught in project management. The manager did not go into such depths with the
statistics identifying its effects and nothing is said about the complexity of the risk matrix.
And mitigation plans have not been made before. Only if the project progresses is risk
identified and mitigation strategies developed. This may be the right approach to some of the
tasks as it cannot be measured at the beginning of a project.

Project Monitoring and Evaluation

The ATM Software project is monitored through meetings and documents. Information
requirements were specified by ABC Bank. And project updates will be provided to senior
management of Kin Links Inc .. Mr. Ahmed has prepared a table that will show what
information the participants need for this project. Also, another table is provided showing the
detailed information needs of members of a particular group. This way everyone involved can
be updated about the project without much confusion. Each group will know what to do next.
Therefore, they can report on progress and any additional requirements. How to get in touch
with ABC Bank is their decision. Mr. Ahmed conveys information to ABC Bank about the
person in charge of the contractor's side. Information most shared by post or email. However,
the intranet of Kin Links Inc. will be used to share information between project team
members. In addition, submissions are also held at the office of Kin Links Inc. where the
entire team participates with a representative from ABC Bank. In this way doubts are
removed and everyone knows how far they have come in the project. According to before
project monitoring is done it should be known what data should be collected, how, when and
who will collect data, how data is analyzed and how. to report progress. The above
information indicates that these guidelines they are well followed by the project manager.
Stakeholder requirements indicate which data collected and when to collect. Mr. Ahmed and
his team will know exactly what to do with first aid
Conclusion

In conclusion it can be said that although some projects may cover all the areas studied under
project management theory, this may not be true of other projects. This can have many facets.
Tasks may vary depending on the needs of the project team or on the size of the project.
Another reason could be an internal culture of anorganization.Although what is done in
project management is very similar to the theoretical aspects of project management. There
are areas that can or may not be used for all projects. This may be because projects can be of
many types ranging from construction to research and development. The project that focused
on this report was about software development. The report addresses differences and
similarities in theory and performance of project leadership and governance, resource
planning, risk assessment and project monitoring. By comparing these areas, it was known
that although many phased functions do not work in the same way and in theory, some are
not the same.
