1. Choose one (1) of the requirements of starting up a travel agency or tour operator which, for
you, is the most important and explain why.
For me, I will choose “Starting Capital” because before starting a travel agency on your own as a business it is
really important to invest money because it’s really hard to start if you don’t have money, because the capital is
our source to buy something for our business like furniture’s and equipment’s such as computer, table, telephones
especially to buy or to invest something to build for your own office.

Before starting a travel agency it’s really important for you to be a business minded so that you can retake how
much capital did you spend on building a travel agency because if you want to build a travel agency you must
need to take a risk from the way that you should know well on how to spend properly your capital so that you can
build successful your own travel agency.

2. John is a frequent traveler. Before, he used to call Corbel Travel and Tours for his travel needs.
However, he was told by a friend that it is more fun to organize on his own. John is one of the
agency’s longtime customers. Which challenge of the travel industry do you think poses the
greatest threat in this scenario? Why?

I think the greatest threat in this scenario is that the Corbel Travel and Tours might lost one of their agency longtime
customer since john was told by a friend that he can do on his own and maybe John will go a plan to organize a travel
by himself since he was informed by a friend and john might find out a better plan for his travel needs by his own without
hesitating to contact Corbel travel and Tours anymore. But if the travel agency gives john a good service travel plan for
his needs maybe he will still contact Corbel Travel and Tours because of their services.
