Good Public Policy – Why evidence and process matter

This article depicts that an effective policy development needs evidence and
process for preparing right policy. This article explains about the inquiries
conducted over the years to identify ways of strengthening evidence based policy
development in the future. Evidence and process are the two pillars that provides a
strong framework for a good policy.Evidence based analysis helps in better
decision making, identifying where and how policy needs refinement, terminating
a policy. Some studies have revealed some features of policy process that help
build better evidence such as clearly defined problems, better data, consultation of
proposals, building quality evaluation, systematic learning and evaluation skills.
