The codification pattern for the warehouse infrastructure must take into consideration the
following aspects:
• The codification should be easy to understand, right sized, label prints must be legible, barcodes
readable from workable distances using barcode scanners
• Warehouse Id : which will hold the company, country, province, city and location details (need not be
part of the bin identification, but maintained in the database table structure of WMS). Taken as input
from user when signing into the application.
Eg : J01 - Khomrah Warehouse, Al Khomrah, Jeddah, WP, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
J02 - Hamra Warehouse, Al Hamra, Jeddah, WP, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA)
R01- Murabba Warehouse, Al Murabba, Riyadh, CP, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia(KSA)
• Shed or Building Id to represent more than one block (need not be part of bin identification). Taken as
input from user when signing into the application.
• Bin Identification : Aisle+Bay+Level+Bin Position
• Area and Zone codes will be considered as attributes of Bin.
