PROBLEM QUESTIONS
1. A Sunni (Hanafi) male dies leaving behind his widow, mother, father and two sons.
Distribute their shares.
2. A Mohammedan widow retained her husband's property in lieu of her dower amount.
She is not ready to give up possession until her dower is paid. Can she do so ?

9. 'A' bequeathes 2 lakh to 'B' with a condition that 'B' shall get the bequest on his
completing the age of 18 years and in case he should die before his 18th year the
bequest shall go to 'C'. 'B' dies at his age of 25 years, but during the life time of 'A'. 'B'
has been survived by 2 sons. Decide.
10. A says in the presence of M and N : "l have married myself to B who is absent. On the
information reaching B, she says, "l have accepted". Does it constitute a valid
marriage?
11. 'A' hanafi Muslim executes a wakf deed by which he directs his debts are to be paid
out of the rents and profits of the wakf property. ls this wakf valid ?

estate to the son and ¼ to his daughter. The daughter does not consent to the
disposition. Decide.
23. R, a Muslim has two sons, S and T. S dies in the life-time of R leaving a son D. Then

24. 'N', a Hanafi Muslim repudiates his wife by pronouncing Talaq thrice in the same
breath. The parties afterwards live together and get 5 children. 'N' acknowledges them
as his legitimate children. What are the rights of children in N's estate ? Decide.
25. 'A'a Sunni Mohammaden sells his land to'B'. A's neighbor 'C' a Shia Mohammaden
claims his right of pre-emption over the land, will he succeed ?
26. 'A' executes a document pur-porting to settle property as wakf for the benefit of his
wife, daughter and descendants of the daughter. ls it a valid wakf ?
27. The soldier who was seriously injured makes will by word of mouth in the month of
