LINE – the distance between two points.

THREE METHODS USED TO DRAW LINES

1. Coordinate System

a. Absolute Coordinate
b. Relative Coordinate
c. Polar Coordinate

2. Snap and Grid

3. Direct Distance Entry

Definition of Terms
a. Drawing Area – is the drawing space.
b. Grids – are dots/line displaced in the drawing area used as you guide when drawing.
c. Grid Size – the distances between grids.
d. Cartesian Plane – two perpendicular number lines: the X-axis, which is the horizontal and the
Y-axis, which is the vertical.
e. Origin – is the intersection of the X and Y-axes.

Sample 1 (Given the Drawing Area: 7 X 4)

Grid Size: 1 X 1
Sample 2 (Given the Grid Size: 2 x 2)
Drawing Area: 10 X 12

Absolute Coordinate – the points are located with respect to the origin.

FORMAT: X , Y
