Mathematics & Statistics

Mathematics and Statistics studies patterns underlying diverse phenomena such as the weather, human and animal populations, stock markets, the form of a molecule, or the structure of space and time. The Department
of Mathematics & Statistics emphasizes a student-centered, interdisciplinary approach to teaching and research. There are many Honours B.Sc. programs, including Honours Mathematics & Statistics, Honour Mathematics
& Statistics plus a Mathematics Sub-plan, Honours Mathematics & Statistics plus a Statistics Sub-plan, and Honours Actuarial & Financial Mathematics.

Areas of Research Science Career & Cooperative Education
