Definitions:

Critical distance for acceptance K: Express the number of standard deviation (of the observed data)
between the mean value (of the observed data) and the specification limit(s) in order to comply
with a predefined reliability level with a certain confidence level.

A valid sampling plan shall provide evidence of the level of consumer’s protection that means what
it does rejects (LTPD)

A valid sampling plan should also provide an adequate producer’s protection level that means what
it accepts (AQL)
