SUBJECT : Action Taken re- Letter from Hon. Loren Legarda, Deputy
Representative of Lone District of Antique

1. Reference: Memorandum received from DPRMD dated September 16, 2021

with the same subject as above.

2. This pertains to the letter from Hon Legarda dated August 30, 2021 addressed
to Gen Eduardo Año, Secretary, Department of Interior and Local Government on the
negative propaganda that has been circulating in social media that certain individuals
have spread within several government institutions including the PNP malicious
information that said Deputy Speaker purportedly authored a bill which will reduce the
leave credits and retirement benefits of our police officers.

3. In this regard, please be informed that this Office advised its personnel to be
cautious in handling information and not immediately believe and spread any
malicious, fabricated or unverified information circulating/posted in any social media
platform especially issues related to the organization.
