Face-to-face Learning During a Pandemic

About almost a year we have been in a situation facing the Covid-19 virus
pandemic. Students continue their education through online learning and via video calls
with their teachers. Currently, the Indonesian government has begun to announce plans for
face-to-face learning in schools. However, much remains to be considered in doing so.
People have different opinion about this action during a pandmic.

For some people, face-to-face learning can be a way out when studying online,
lessons are less understandable. Also, differences in networks between regions that affect
learning because not all regions in Indonesia have a good signal and online schools need
cellphones or laptops or communication tools which not everyone has and ofcourse it will
impact on these students. But when it comes to face-to-face learning we don’t have to
worry about it anymore.

But some people still disagree with this idea, because precentage of exposure to
this virus will increase if face-to-face learning management doesn’t run according to the
rules, because there may be studenst who don’t want to follow health protocols during
face-to-face, then it would be dangerous for the other students too.

This plan should be implemented when the pandemic has ended, or if it has to be
done, it is better to rethink how it is so that nothing untoward happens.
