1. OBLIGATION
TO
Family obligation refers to a collection
of attitudes. and behaviors related to
the provision of support, assistance,
and respect to family members.
CHILDREN OBLIGATION TO
THEIR PARENTS
1. Children have the duty of honoring and respecting
their Father and Mother
2. Children have the duty of obeying their Father and
Mother
3. Children have the duty of listening to the counsel of
Father and Mother
4. Children have the duty of caring for Father and
Mother in their old age.
5. Where there have failures and breaches, children
have the duty of understanding and forgiving Father
and Mother.
PARENTS OBLIGATION TO
THEIR CHILDREN
FAMILY LAW DEFINES THE RESPONSIBILITIES
THAT PARENTS HAVE IN RELATION TO
BRINGING UP THEIR CHILDREN.

This include:
❖ To protect your child from harm
❖ To provide your child from food, clothing
and safe place to live
❖ To financially support your child
❖ To provide safety, supervision and control
❖ To provide medical care
❖ To provide education
