Dear School Administration, 

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Holly Magiera.  I have had the
pleasure of working with Ms. Magiera for the past three years. As the site ELD Coordinator and
Instructional Coach, I have first-hand experience with her ability as a dedicated and skilled teacher.

Ms. Magiera sets high, but attainable standards for her students and then gives them the tools to succeed
through planning for academic needs of all levels, incorporating the four language domains for English
learners, and making any specific modifications or adaptations to lessons so that her students are able to
successfully access content..  This year our school wide focus has been working on establishing
instructional routines, increasing collaborative conversation amongst students, and increasing academic
language development to accelerate learning. As an insightful educator, when a student is struggling,  
Ms. Magiera takes the required steps to give the student extra support by collaborating with colleagues,
our intervention specialist, and reaching out to parents.  As a result, students are motivated, intellectually
challenged, and consistently show growth.

Consistently, Ms. Magiera displays the qualities that make a teacher successful.  She is dependable,
motivated, and in tune with the needs of her students.  She collaborates well with her colleagues and
actively works on improving as a professional.
