1.

Discuss in your words what your preference is in using the internet in interacting socially,
Explain.

I open Facebook every day and check my inbox every minute. I use it for education, as well as
communicating with distant family and getting regular updates. Despite the fact that it's full of
toxicity due to trolls that promote hate and fake news, I still use Facebook for social interaction.
It is because it is very convenient and it is the most popular communication platform. I like how
Facebook is too easy to use. I like its consistency and I like its features.

One of the features that I like the most is the group pages. I like Facebook groups. It is powerful
and exciting because we can quickly get opinions about specific topics. Plus, I feel good
everytime I get to communicate with people who have the same interests as me.

I, too, get to use online games to communicate with others. I'm meeting new people and forming
friendships as a result of playing online games, which is quite cool.

2.Discuss the relevance of the Internet of things and how important the internet in our current
lives.

The Information Age has allowed rapid global communications and networking to shape modern
society. It is a big help to humanity, that's why it is essential. Another thing, since the technology
was enhanced, the internet was introduced, and the internet has brought new opportunities to
the government, medical field, business, agriculture, education, and other industries. The
internet has too many uses. It would probably take a whole week to elaborate the uses of it one
by one.

Furthermore, humans benefit from technological advancements, specifically the internet for a
variety of reasons. Because of the internet, communicating with other people is much easier
nowadays. There are so many advantages of the internet, especially now that we're facing a
pandemic. If the internet doesn't exist, how are we going to conduct classes? Being connected
with the internet, we can do the things we used to do by just doing it virtually where we are all
safe from the deadly virus.

Another thing is that the information and data are now accessible unlike before, we have to go
to the library to find the information we need. With the help of the internet, everything has
become a hundred times easier to live. I don't think we can live without the internet. Well, there's
a possibility that we could but it would surely be hard for us.

3.Discuss what is your preference in online shopping? Why is it relevant now during a
pandemic?

Online shopping is convenient since we can save time. It's also simple to cancel the
transactions. We do not have to stand in queues in cash counters to pay for the products that
we have purchased and we don’t have to travel anymore just to buy products. We could have
some big discounts too since every month there are special dates wherein online shops like
Shopee offers big discounts. On the other hand, despite the advantages of online shopping I’d
still rather buy products in the market than purchase it through online shopping.

If there are advantages then there are disadvantages too. Online shopping makes me feel
frustrated because of delays in shipment and delivery of products. In addition to that, the images
shown in the online shop may be misleading or wrong. The real appearance or the color may
not match with the model shown and the real one. Same with the quality too, if we couldn't touch
the product specifically when it comes to clothes, how are we going to say that the quality is
good? Furthermore, when we are purchasing products online, it hindrances buyers and sellers
from engaging in negotiations. Customers receive personal attention from the showroom sales
attendant representatives, who assist them in making purchases which is better for me. On top
of that, I don’t have that much trust in online shopping since fraud in online shoppings do exist.

What I am saying is that going to markets is much better than purchasing goods in an online
shop. Going to markets can establish a good shopping experience. We could ensure the
secureness of our payments and we'd be able to know if it is worth buying since we could know
whether the quality is good or not. Unfortunately, in times like this we are facing a pandemic and
we have to stay at home, which makes online shopping convenient and the safest way to
purchase products.

Anyway, I use shopee to buy products but I still prefer going to physical markets. If it's possible,
we actually go outside to buy.

4. What do you prefer in learning? contrast the difference between face to face learning and
eLearning.

If I said I prefer face-to-face classes, I'd be lying. I mean, commuting to school every day is a
hassle, and studying in a face-to-face setting is more difficult. Surprise recitations, quizzes, and
examinations irritate me. It is simple to learn in online programs because I have plenty of time to
study and do my interests or leisures. In addition, unlike before, I am able to effectively manage
my time. We have to go to extracurricular activities practice, which takes up the majority of my
time. Even if it's simply an online class, I find it easier to absorb and grasp the lessons.

I'm not stating this on behalf of the students who are enrolled in an online class. I'm stating this
based on my own preference. Every student is different and faces different challenges. It is
more convenient for me to undertake online studying. To be honest, I am an introverted
individual. I like staying at home, which is why I believe eLearning is superior.

5. What do you like most in utilizing your internet? Why is it so?

What I enjoy the most about using the internet is playing online games and watching Filipino
indie films and anime. Like most of the students, I also hate studying. Studying is fun but not
most of the time. It makes my head ache and sometimes I am having a hard time in studying
lessons especially solving math problems. While playing online games, I always feel enjoyment
and excitement. Although it irritates me every time I lose, I had a good time. Another thing is
that watching Filipino indie films and anime causes my brain to release serotonin hormones,
which makes me feel good. It also served as a fantastic stress reliever.

I wish I could just stop studying and spend the rest of my life watching and playing video games,
but that's not how life works. Perhaps I'll work hard initially to achieve financial stability and then
do what I want.

6.Discuss your understanding of how the internet works and elaborate on the technology and
devices.

Based on my understanding, the internet works because the internet cable contains fiber cables
and inside the fiber cables, there are optical fibers. The optical fibers are made of optical glass
or plastics. They are called optical fibers because they transmit data by light impulses. If the
optical fibers are damaged, then we are not able to get connected on the internet.

Example, if you want to send a picture to your friend using your smartphone and if you're using
a router, the data would be sent to a router from your phone as a radio wave. If you're using
cellular data, the picture you sent would be transmitted to the nearest tower. When you're
sending a video to a friend, it wouldn't be sent as a whole video but a binary code that uses a
series of ones and zeros. From your router, assuming that you use a router, the data or packets
will go to the internet hub. One example of an internet hub is the Philippine Internet Exchange or
PhiX. The Philippine Internet Exchange is like an internet airport that is connected to the internet
cables around the world and that is why everytime we send a picture to our friends even outside
our country, it would be sent.

7.Discuss why living conditions now require a lot of Digital experience.

Technological advancements are relevant and it is already widely used by many people. Even
the elders that ages forty to seventy and you youngsters that ages to two above are all using
technology. If you're not a fan of using the internet or technology, the people will make fun of
you. You'll look ignorant and they'll tell you that you live on a farm.

Plus, having technology in our daily life makes enhancements. It is now better and easier for us
to do many things. I don't think you'll prefer to write a letter to your loved ones than using
Facebook to send a message. I also assume that you don't prefer to live in the Stone Age than
living in the Information Age.

Everything that we see and use is all the result of technological advancements. Technology is
an indispensable tool that we cannot ignore; it plays a significant role in the majority of our lives.
This is because, in today's dynamic environment, existence would be meaningless without
technology. The basic goal of technology, which brings together tools to promote development,
use, and information sharing, is to make chores easier and to solve many of humanity's issues.

Technology is inevitable and change is a working definition.

Bonus:

Share your daily use of your gadgets, devices and the Internet. How many hours per day that
you use them.

From 8 am to 2:30 pm, I attend online classes. If there are breaks in between, I play online
games. After online classes, I do schoolworks that needs to be done and if the deadline is not
that early, I procrastinate. I spend my time playing games again and watching anime. At 8 pm, I
take a nap and I usually wake up at 10 pm and the rest of the time, I spend my time watching
movies and series again. Sometimes I scroll on my facebook account and chat with my friends
but when I get tired of them, I play games again. Yes, I really spend most of my time on the
internet. I don't know but I don't get tired of it. Facing my phone and laptop is like an addiction
that is not easy to reduce.

Every Sunday is my cleaning and family day. This is just the time I rest my eyes and my from
the internet. I spend my day reading my books and lectures.
