communication andtechnology driven.
Moreover, it is a world that functions as
a global village.

implications to education which

HUMANISTIC TEACHER
Introduction
Global education necessitates the
services of teachers who are
intellectually and humanistically
prepared. This module zeroes in on the
characteristics of the humanistic
teacher. Upon completion of this
module, you are expected to have
developed awareness on how
humanistic teachers operationalize
emphatic understanding, respect and
genuineness in the classroom.
A. Personal Characteristics of the
Teacher
- emphatic understanding
- respect or warmth
- genuineness
It is the person of the teacher which is
the most important factor in teaching
and learning. She/he percieves others as
able than unable, friendly rather than
unfriendly as worthy rather thsn
unworthy, as internally rather than
undependable, as helpful rather than
hindering.
Good teachers see themselves as
adequate, trustworthy, wanted snd
identified with others.
B. Humanistic Psychology

Humanistic or perceptual psychology

assumes an internal frame or references
rather thsnthe external frame of
reference.
