ABSTRACT

To combat the Covid-19 pandemic, various strategies have been implemented to develop a
Covid-19 vaccine. Various vaccines have undergone clinical trials with promising results in
various countries. The efficacy and safety, as well as the short- and long-term side effects of
vaccines, are major concerns in strategic clinical trials and development. Objective: The purpose
of this study is to determine the efficacy and safety of the Covid19 vaccine so that it can provide
information through a reference research approach and build public trust in the Covid19 vaccine,
METHOD: The research method used here is a reference study using electronic databases from
international and national journals. The main databases used for this reference study were Google
Scholar, science directx, elsiver, and Pubmed, RESULTS: The reference study found that all
vaccines in clinical trials demonstrated promising efficacy and safety. PfizerBiONTech vaccine is
a highly effective vaccine, safe, score 94.6%, side effects are not serious. Two doses increased
the immune response by 4,444 in young adults and the elderly. Conclusion: All Covid 19
vaccines in clinical trials demonstrated promising immunogenicity with varying degrees of
protective efficacy and acceptable safety profiles
